I applied for the Protiviti summer intern position in NYC. I attended their summer leadership conference and interviewed for the intern position at that event. I had two interviews, one a case and the other behavioral. The case interview was straight-forward. I was presented with a hypothetical problem at a company and the interviewer asked questions on how I would approach this problem, what steps I would take, etc. It was basically to test my problem-solving ability and the methods I use. The behavioral interview was with a managing director at the company. He asked me some basic interview questions (what are your main strengths, describe . time you worked with someone difficult, etc.) and he was also very interested in the questions I had for him. I could tell he was not looking for someone who could give the most concise and well-thought-out answer to the questions, but rather he wanted to see what kind of person I am and if I demonstrated a genuine interest in the company.
