I was able to set up an interview through my school's career services within our business school. I visited the company at our career fair and was able to talk to a full-time employee as well as a previous intern. The interview was two parts - about half an hour each of behavioral as well as "technical" (a pretty simple case). Was called back a couple of weeks later about attending a pre-night/office visit, which was laid-back and pretty fun. I don't know if it was just me, but I was confused about whether or not I was getting an offer (there was no information relayed about it) until I received an email and call about a week after that.

2 rounds of interviews. First round was on campus, two 30 minute interviews. Entirely behavioral / conversational. Got a feeling for the people side of Protiviti. This was a few years back, I'm told there are some case questions included now.
2nd round of interviews was a group office visit. Various activities with the other candidates and protiviti staff. Offer decisions are determined by group consensus after candidates leave.

The last stage of the interview process was to visit the office. This was mostly information about the company and they asked interviewees to form teams and create a brief presentation

The first round was a phone interview when the recruiter called me. After that I was invited to come to their office in Los Angeles for an in person interview. They offered a breakfast which included some snacks and beverages. There were 6 people total that were there with me. For the first round, they asked me behavioral questions and questions about my past work and school experiences. They just went through my resume. The next round was a case study which i believe I did not do too well on. It was a business simulation case study. They then brought us out to lunch to a nearby restaurant. Finally they ended the interview process with a group presentation.

The interview process was very selective and engaging. They were actively interested in our educational endeavors along with our personal lives. Partitive does a great job at identifying top talent and personality. You will notice that everyone at Protiviti is very easy to talk to and get along with. I applied through a recruiter. The process started with a phone call with HR, who then set up another call with MD, then another interview with two MDs, then a final call with a MD. According to the recruiter, all interviews, which lasted about a month, went well. One of the MDs even said a number of times during the interview "if I had 50 of you, I will hire them" but when the time came for an offer, I was told they were not ready make one. Interesting!!! I wish i was told what went wrong since all post-interview feedback was positive.

The night before there is a nice dinner where you get some one on one time with higher management and most are the people who will be conducting the interviews the next day. The office visit consists of two small interviews with either an MD or manager. There is also a short presentation of various topics that the interviewee will have to present.

Interview process was in depth. Multiple rounds of interviews took place in the office. It started with senior level consultants and worked its way through management and then managing directors. Most of the interviews were more behavioral, however a few were technical. The end of the day consisted of a case study and presentation to the rest of the office. It was a fairly rigorous process overall but only consisted of a single day. Best to be prepared on the firm's values and core competencies before coming in to show that you are a good culture fit.

You participate in one case interview first. They send you background information on a mock company a day beforehand, and then you read more on its processes during the interview. They give you about 5 minutes to read over it and write down notes on what looks wrong and what you suggest to improve inefficiencies and risks. If you've taken any accounting courses, you'll do just fine in recognizing what to improve. Afterwards, you go through traditional behavioral interviews with a few more directors and/or senior managers.
